Anita Petruzzelli, M.D. is the owner and Medical Director of BodyLogicMD of Hartford. She focuses on empowering her patients to take care of their body and mind by embracing a healthy lifestyle to help them achieve optimal health through structured fitness programs, nutritional guidance, and hormonal balance using bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. She helps both men and women resolve the symptoms of menopause and andropause including weight gain, sexual dysfunction, declining energy levels, depression, and stress.
In 2002 when the Women’s Health Initiative was published, Dr. Petruzzelli sought a safe alternative to synthetic and bio-similar hormones for her patients suffering from menopausal symptoms. She attended the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine’s course on bio-identical hormones and learned that bioidentical hormones were safe, effective, and preferred by patients. She also learned that a functional medicine approach could be used to improve all aspects of health such as high blood pressure, diabetes or pre-diabetes, high cholesterol, intestinal issues, insomnia, stress, memory, energy and more.
As an obstetrician-gynecologist for over 15 years she has experience and expertise treating the whole patient. Dr. Petruzzelli’s undergraduate education was at Fairfield University and she attended medical school at the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. Hormone Therapy
Dr. Tatiana Fleischman devotes her practice to integrative medicine and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy to help women and men restore balance and re-claim their youthful vigor. She is dedicated to finding a solution for patients living with the uncomfortable symptoms of hormonal imbalance, many of which are often associated with menopause, andropause, thyroid disorders, and adrenal fatigue. Dr. Fleischman creates tailored treatment plans that include bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) combined with customized nutrition and supplement regimens to help her patients manage the aging process.
Dr. Fleischman treasures the close relationship between patient and doctor, and believes that the foundation of a long happy life is good health. However, as an internal medicine physician, she learned that traditional medicine was focused on being reactive instead of proactive, and that is what pushed her to make a transition to integrative medicine. Now, Dr. Fleischman can treat the patient as a whole using a more preventive approach to uncover the underlying cause of symptoms and help defend against disease rather than waiting for it to develop and simply manage the symptoms.
Dr. Fleischman completed her internal medicine residency in 2010 at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Queens, New York. She trained extensively with the Institute for Functional Medicine, is board certified in internal medicine, and is an active member of the fellowship for Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine.
