It would be great if we could all live our lives without suffering from the uncomfortable symptoms that come with getting older. But since we cannot pause the clock or turn back the hands of time, the next best thing we can do is prepare ourselves for life’s major transitions. Women who take extra care to support their health in preparation for going into menopause tend to have an easier time of it, and men can do the same to help avoid some of the annoying symptoms of menopause’s male equivalent, andropause. While different in many ways from menopause, the symptoms of andropause can actually be quite similar, such as irritability, mood swings, weight gain, insomnia, and even hot flashes and sexual dysfunction.
